STORY:

Florida is one of the few places in the world where you can watch the sunrise and sunset over the ocean on the same day.

We started our day paddle boarding at sunrise on the east coast of Florida in Pompano Beach, and ended our day paddle boarding at sunset on the west coast of Florida in Islamorada. We decided to keep the adventure going and threw in a scuba diving trip in between sunrise and sunset. The drive from the east coast to the west coast was about two hours and was worth every minute!

This day will forever be one of my favorite paddle boarding memories!

Everyone should add paddle boarding at sunrise and sunset during the same day to their bucket list!

PRO TIPS:

Tip #1: Create a timed itinerary for your day and make sure to consider the following: What time is sunrise? What time is sunset? How long does it take to pump up your paddle board if you have an inflatable? How long does it take to drive to the opposite coast?

Tip #2: Don’t forget to bring a light with you on your sunset paddle, so you can be visible to boats when the sun goes down.
