Fun Fact: I am so obsessed with making my own espresso each day, I once packed my entire espresso set up in my carryon and took it to Hawaii with me. It also goes everywhere with us in our Sprinter van and we like to make lattes for people we meet while we travel.

Q: What inspired you to become an ISLE ambassador?

I’ve always loved the quality and fun colors of my Isle board so it was a natural fit when the opportunity came up to become an ambassador. I love to be outdoors, especially on an alpine in the Pacific Northwest so I always have my paddle board with me.

Q: Share your most unforgettable adventure?

I’m currently living it! During the pandemic my boyfriend went through a really difficult cancer battle. That event was the catalyst to take a risk and leave my full time pharmacist job and buy a van. For the past 2 years my boyfriend and I have been traveling full time in our Sprinter van across North America as well as slow traveling internationally. We’ve been on an adventure of a lifetime spending winters in Baja, Mexico and summers between the mountains of Washington and exploring Europe.

Q: How does being out on the water impact you?

Being on the water transports me back to childhood summers; endless days with friends floating on the lake and camping. I have a belief that the more we pursue those things that made us happy as children, the happier we will be as adults. So now I chase summer and outdoor adventures to find that inner joy and peace. My happy place is on a paddle board on an alpine lake with a warm breeze, sunshine, and birdsongs.

Q: Are there any new hobbies, skills, or goals you're currently pursuing?

For over 10 years, I have been working (procrastinating) on a memoir about the passing of my husband from cancer in our 20’s and my experiences traveling the world solo in an attempt to find some healing. I hope someday I can finish my story. I’m also endlessly trying to learn Spanish as well as perfect my latte art.

Q: In what ways do you contribute to your community and the environment?

I take sustainability and the state of our planet incredibly seriously. For as long as I can remember, I’ve tried to live in a way that has as little impact as possible. Although travel is not the most environmentally friendly thing to do, I am grateful to be able to travel slowly. I work hard to leave a place better than I found it, support locally owned businesses, and stand for diversity and inclusiveness. Hopefully my actions set an example for others who may be watching.
