1 day – 4 beaches – 30 miles of coastline

In honor of Earth Week, our entire office took the day off to clean up the San Diego Coastline. We started up north in Encinitas and ended down south in Coronado. We cleaned up four beaches in total – Swamis State Park, Mission Beach, Sunset Cliffs and Silver Strand State Beach. By the end of the day, we collected over 300 pounds of trash. Success. A big thanks to all the people who participated, I Love a Clean San Diego for providing us with beach cleanup supplies and Patagonia Cardiff & Blenders for the awesome prize donations! The importance of keeping your local beach clean

A clean beach helps keep our ocean clean, and a clean ocean will help protect & preserve marine life. When the tide rises, it collects trash and pushes it out into the ocean. This can have a negative impact on marine life. Marine life can easily mistake a piece of trash for food. Whether a piece of trash is ingested or not ingested, it can cause marine life harm.
